Grammatical & line edits are my jam! Any of the nitty-gritty details - syntax, proper semantics, grammar, paragraph flow, word choice, etc. - are where my detail-oriented, type-A personality shines. For bigger projects like short stories & manuscripts, I also consider chapter beginnings/endings, story progression, consistency, general character development/engagement, and overall story flow!

    (Will not review anything 10 pages or less in this category. If you choose to get the first 1-10 pages edited first with my “Sample Pages” service, the word count for those edited pages will be subtracted from your cost for this service.)

    **Academic Honesty Disclaimer: I will NOT write academic projects of any kind for any student/individual. I will NOT create/structure arguments or brainstorm creative/argumentative writing projects for others. I do not claim to have expertise in all academic subject matters, so I will not edit from the basis of subject matter expertise. I do not use AI to make edits.

  • Working on a project that doesn’t fall into these categories? Send me an email! Chances are, I’m game for anything that can be edited in a word doc. While availability in this area depends on scope of project, my current schedule, and clients ahead in line, I’ll always consider your writing. Let’s collaborate to make it the best it can be!

How It Works:

Start the conversation!

You email me (via “Inquire Here” buttons or my “Let’s Connect” page) with any questions, project details, etc. We’ll collaborate on all the details! If you decide to proceed with the service, payment will be due, and you’ll send me your file.

2.

Email your digital, fully-written draft.

Mention any specific concerns or editing points you would like me to focus on! If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

All documents must be sent as editable email attachments. Preferably, send a COPY of your manuscript/story/project - keeping the original for yourself.

3.

I edit your document.

Here’s where my work comes in! I’ll automatically make any grammatical/syntax edits (all the cut & dry stuff) with no notes. For word choice suggestions, paragraph flow, or semantic edits, I’ll make notes/highlights on the relevant section.

a.k.a. The big choices stay up to YOU! I’ll just handle the cut & dry details and suggest potential improvements or clarifications.

Receive your edited writing!

After a waiting period, you will receive a fully-edited, digital document with PERSONALIZED feedback and already-made line / grammatical edits!

FAQ’s:

  • For all projects, I operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. I’m always happy to take on more clients! Just know wait time will depend on what my current editing queue / schedule looks like at the time.

    My job is to edit thoughtfully; yours is to be patient!

  • For Sample Pages/Articles/Academic Projects, if a 2-week waiting period has passed and I have not discussed a backlog/longer wait time in my queue with you already, please feel free to follow up! Again, just bear in mind that editing takes time and requires patience for thoughtful results. However, my goal is always to return your writing as quickly as is reasonably possible!

  • Yes! All writing must be sent as editable attachments (I will not edit anything in the body of an email).

    • Acceptable attachment types: Microsoft Word Document or Google Drive Document.

    • Unacceptable attachment type: PDF, etc.

    To make the writing/editing process as smooth as possible, please format all writing as follows:

    • Double-spaced

    • In the header: Your Name / Document Name

    • Standard fonts (TNR or Arial)

  • While I’m always open to project inquiries, there are certain types of writing/content that I will NOT edit:

    • Inappropriate/erotic content.

    • Writing centered on death of children or beloved pets.

    • Any content depicting abuse, suicide, religious slander, or hateful speech to real individuals (outside of observant/objective research in the non-argumentative Academic category - for research essays ONLY)

    ** I maintain the right to refuse to edit any piece from any category (as outlined above or beyond) that is given in ill-faith or with which I am uncomfortable. I will not require payment for editing services of which I opt out (partial payment may be required for pages of Novellas/Full Manuscripts completed).
